10/11/03 crab NWS::  On October 11, 2003 crab captains gather for a meeting with the board of the Alaska Marketing Association (AMA)(right) who represents them negotiating prices with the seafood companies, in Dutch Harbor, Alaska on October 11, 2003.  According to the AMA 90% of the crab caught in the Bering Sea is sold to 7 processing companies based out of Seattle, WA.  The fishermen were very unhappy with the price offer of $5.05 per pound of red king crab but voted to go fishing anyway fearing they had no choice.
