28 retired racing greyhounds arrive in the early morning hours at Greyhound Pets in Woodinville, Wash. on Sunday, June 21,2015. It is both Father's day and Solstice - the longest Day of the year. Moira Corrigan runs it. Also photographed veterinarian Kate Janezak who works at VCA Companion Animals in Lynnwoods who was volunteering. Around 25 30 volunteers showed up in the middle of the night to help offload the greyhounds. The dogs had been in the transport trailer for 27 hours. Greyhound Pets is a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of greyhounds and greyhound mixes in the Pacific Northwest and Southwestern Canada according to their website.
